    Could you set the PTR record for 198.51.100.24 to mail.kestrel.example? Forward DNS already points at the same address.

    Forward record checked out, so the PTR is set and propagating. It should be visible within 15 minutes. You can also change rDNS yourself from Servers → kestrel-web-01 → Network.
